An Auction for Niche Card Collectors
Private Deals

Sell a high-value card without putting it in a public auction.

Some cards should not be listed. A private deal moves the card straight to a buyer we already know, under a signed contract, with Global Card Auctions holding both sides until the trade is verified and complete.

Is your card a fit

Built for single cards at $1,000 and up.

Some cards only change hands a few times in a generation. A non-sports rarity that has not surfaced at auction in a decade, an oddball or regional issue with a population you can count on one hand, a niche sports card the big catalogs never bothered with. There are collectors who have been chasing your card for ten years or more, and we know who they are. Let us put it in front of them and help you hand it to its next owner.

Every private deal is done on a graded card, vintage or modern, sports or non-sports.

$1,000

Minimum card value

The threshold applies to a single card, not a lot or a collection.

  • 10% fee on the purchase price
  • You name your net and we price the deal to hit it
  • Nothing releases early. Card and funds move together
  • Quiet by default. Promotion only if you ask for it
How it works

Three steps, and neither side has to go first.

That is the whole reason to run a private sale through a licensed auction house. Buyer and seller both deliver into GCA. Only once both halves are in hand and verified does anything leave.

1

Contract signed

Buyer and seller sign a private sale contract covering the card, the agreed price, the seller's net, condition and grading details, and delivery terms. Nothing moves until both signatures are on it.

Buyer and seller
2

Both sides deliver to GCA

The buyer sends funds to Global Card Auctions. The seller ships the card to Global Card Auctions, with insured shipping recommended. We confirm the funds have cleared and inspect the card against the contract.

3

We release both at once

With the card verified and the money confirmed, we ship the card to the buyer and send the seller the agreed net. Holding both sides is what lets us confirm the deal is real and finished.

Out to both parties
The hold

Nothing moves out until both halves are in.

Buyer sends funds Seller ships the card insured (recommended) Global Card Auctions holds both sides funds cleared, card verified Card to buyer insured and tracked Net to seller the agreed amount, in full SIMULTANEOUS RELEASE

If the card does not match the contract, the deal does not proceed. The card goes back to the seller and the buyer's funds go back to the buyer. We do not release on a card we cannot verify.

The fee

10% of the purchase price. You tell us your number.

Sellers quote the total they want to walk away with. We price the deal so that after our 10% comes out, your net is exactly the figure you asked for. No listing fee, no charge if the deal does not close.

Buyer's purchase price$50,000
GCA fee, 10%$5,000
You receive$45,000

Illustration only. Final figures are set in the signed contract. Private deals start at a $1,000 card value.

One fee, one time

10% of the purchase price, taken at settlement. There is no listing fee and no separate buyer's premium stacked on top.

Your net is the fixed number

Tell us you want $45,000 and the deal is written at $50,000. Your figure is the one that is protected.

Paid as soon as it clears

Once the card passes inspection and the funds have cleared, your payment goes out. You are not waiting on an auction to close or a buyer to pay an invoice.

Finding a buyer

We start with our own buyers. You decide how far it travels.

Most private deals never leave our network. We take the card to collectors and dealers who already buy in that lane and who we know can transact at that number. If you want a wider audience, we can put the card in front of one.

Default

Our buyer network

Direct, name by name outreach to collectors and dealers already active in your card's category.

Optional

Breakout Cards on YouTube

Feature the card in a video segment in front of an audience that watches the market every week.

Optional

Instagram and social

A dedicated post to reach collectors who buy on sight, with no public listing and no bidding window.

Optional

Email and Discord

A private note to our collector list and the Niche Card Collectors Discord when the card suits that room.

Discretion is the default. Nothing about your card, your name, or the price is made public unless you ask us to promote it. If you do want promotion, you approve what goes out before it goes out.

Questions

What sellers and buyers ask first.

Who holds the card and the money in between?

Global Card Auctions does. The buyer's funds sit with us and the card sits with us until both sides are verified. We are a licensed Florida auction house, License AB4273, and the terms of the hold are written into the contract both parties sign.

Why is there a $1,000 minimum?

A private deal takes direct specialist time, a contract, and a hold on both sides. Below $1,000, a public auction or the GCA Marketplace gets you a better result with less friction.

Do I have to promote the card publicly?

No. Promotion is opt in. Most deals are worked quietly through our buyer network. Promotion exists for sellers who want the widest possible audience and are comfortable with the card being seen.

How is my payout calculated?

You tell us the net you want. We gross the purchase price up so that our 10% comes out of the price and your net lands exactly where you asked. A $45,000 net is written as a $50,000 deal with a $5,000 fee.

Does my card need to be graded?

Yes. Every private deal is done on a graded card. If yours has not been graded yet, we can point you to the right grading option and take another look once it comes back.

I am a buyer. Can I get first look at private deals?

Yes. Collectors can register a want list with us and we will bring private opportunities to them before they go anywhere else.

Have a card that should not be listed?

Send us the card, the grade, and the number you want to walk away with. If we have the buyer, you will know quickly.

Start here

Tell us about the card.

Send the details and a few photos. If it is a fit for a private deal we will come back with how we would find the buyer and what your net would look like.
